Description
New Sovtek EL84 / 6BQ5 Power Pentode. This Russian EL84 is extremely reliable and good sounding. Amplifier manufacturers like Mesa Boogie, Fender, Crate and Peavey have used these in their production. It has exceptionally sturdy construction so they withstand a combo amp well. When pushed hard in a guitar amp it can produce a pleasing warm, smooth distortion but are crystal clear in Hi-Fi use. Excellent replacements in vintage VOX AC-30’s.
