Very rare and desirable Siemens Halske 12AU7 ECC802S CV4003. This 3-Mica tube is a premium low-noise special class 12AU7 / ECC82 tube. Siemens Halske of Munich Germany only made this version for a very short time in the 1960’s. The Siemens E82CC tube was positioned against its competitor, the Telefunken ECC802S. At the time, Telefunken had trademarked the ECC802S number, so Siemens came out with their version, the E82CC. It has now become more rare and desirable than the Telefunken. The Siemens E82CC / ECC802S tube is much more alive musically where the Telefunken ECC802S has a compressed neutral sound. If you want warmer mid-range and extended highs, the Siemens Halske E82CC is your choice. They are perfect for phono stages but outstanding in any application with fast response, overwhelming detail, the most realistic bass, and best overall performance. Branded Zaerix for marketing in England in the 1960’s.
